Una delle colonne portanti della serie è la colonna sonora.

Le musiche e le canzoni, supervisionate da Alexandra Patsavas, accompagnano i telespettatori in tutte le avventure di Seth, Marissa, Summer e Ryan. La stessa Patsavas ha commentato "la colonna sonora ha lo scopo di accompagnare i telespettatori, ampliando la gamma delle emozioni suscitate dal telefilm" di Josh Schwartz. Sono state rilasciate 6 versioni della Colonna Sonora Originale.
